Savannah offers options to stay cool during today’s heat advisory. Here’s where to go.


Local officials are taking extra steps to ensure residents in Savannah stay cool. The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday, prompting the City of Savannah and partner agencies to provide places for folks to seek shelter amid the heat wave.

According to NWS, the heat index value has the potential to reach 111 degrees today.
