Man shot dead in Wilmington’s East Side community identified by city police


A 49-year-old man who was fatally shot early Thursday has been identified by Wilmington police as Kevin Harris.

Harris, according to police, was in the 900 block of Lombard St. when he was shot about 1:05 a.m.

Responding officers found him, but police said he died from his injuries.

Harris is the ninth person to be killed by gunfire so far this year in Wilmington.
