Man charged in incidents at South Windsor Lowes

A Vernon resident has been arrested months after allegedly committing two thefts at a Lowes in April, South Windsor Police said in a statement from the department Thursday.

Dimitri Butler, a 32-year-old from Vernon, was arrested and charged Wednesday with two counts of sixth-degree larceny, police said.

According to police, Butler’s charges stem from “two separate incidents that occurred at Lowes” on 31 Buckland Hills Drive in South Windsor in April.

Police said Butler was “already in state custody on charges from other jurisdictions” when South Windsor officers arrested Butler at 11:11 a.m. Wednesday. According to the department, Butler was “processed, held and presented…at Manchester Superior Court on a $2,000 surety bond.”

Under Connecticut law, larceny in the sixth degree is charged in thefts of $500 or less. It is a class C misdemeanor.
