Crystal Rasch case in Dodge County changes from missing person to death investigation

JUNEAU – Investigation into the disappearance of Crystal Rasch, 37, who was reported missing June 23, has transitioned to a death investigation.

Dodge County Sheriff’s Office announced the change in the investigation in a news release July 3.

“The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has had continuous investigation into the disappearance of Crystal Rasch, and through the investigation it has been determined that this case is no longer a missing person investigation, but it has transitioned to a death investigation,” the release said. “No details regarding the death investigation will be released to maintain the integrity of the investigation as this is still a very active investigation.”

Crystal Rasch’s estranged husband, Zachariah Rasch, 42, of Clyman, was arrested on suspicion of using Crystal Rasch’s financial accounts after she’d been missing. He was arrested on multiple counts of suspected unauthorized use of an individual’s personal identifying information and is being held at Dodge County Jail on a $250,000 cash bond.

Crystal Rasch, of Clyman, was last seen on or around June 11 and was reported missing June 23. Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has been searching for her with law enforcement-sanctioned searches only.

No further details were released July 3.
