Central Florida will endure more heat on Wednesday and into the Fourth of July with the heat index forecast to venture into the 100s, according to the National Weather Service in Melbourne.
“High temperatures in the lower to mid 90s and seasonably high humidity will result in heat index readings, or feels-like temperatures, from 102 to 107 degrees,” forecasters said. “If you have outdoor plans today, remain well-hydrated and take plenty of breaks in the shade or indoors.”

The NWS said an isolated shower chances will migrate from the east coast inland during the morning with expected afternoon thunderstorms possible. Areas west of Orlando have a higher chance after 5 p.m.
The NWS warns of a moderate risk of rip currents are area beaches through the holiday.
A similar heat and thunderstorm pattern will remain through the Fourth of July.
