I-24 West reopens near Rutherford County line after deadly rollover crash


NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A portion of Intestate 24 was closed in Davidson County after a deadly multiple-vehicle rollover crash Tuesday morning.

The crash happened in the westbound lanes near the Old Hickory Boulevard exit at the Rutherford County line just after 7:30 a.m.

At least four vehicles were involved in the crash, including one which overturned and came to a stop against the median wall. Metro police reported at least one man was killed in the crash.

The roadway fully reopened to traffic around 11:30 a.m. Motorists were diverted off the interstate at the Waldron Road exit.

No additional information was immediately released.
