Jul. 1—A Somerville man was arrested and charged with trafficking fentanyl following a traffic stop early Saturday, according to the Priceville Police Department.

Billy Gene Shaddrix, 43, remained in Morgan County Jail on Monday in lieu of a $200,000 bond.

Priceville police said they stopped Shaddrix at around 4 a.m. near Alabama 67 and Marco Drive for a minor traffic violation and determined he had several active warrants through neighboring agencies.

Shaddrix was found in possession of fentanyl after he was taken into custody for the warrants, according to police, and he was subsequently charged with trafficking.
