Heavy rain causes flooding, prompts road closures in Pasco County


PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — As rain moves across the Tampa Bay area, several roads have begun to flood in Pasco County, prompting closures.

“Pasco County is currently experiencing flooding in certain areas due to rain,” the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office posted on social media.

The following areas are currently shut down due to flooding:

All lanes on Nome Avenue in Port Richey are also closed for flooding.

The intersection of Ranch Road and US 19 is back open; however, Ranch Road remains closed between Zimmerman Road and Hanks Lane.
