Man facing felony charges in Fayette County


FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WVNS)– According to a press release from Fayette County Sheriff Mike Fridley, a North Carolina man is facing felony charges in Fayette County.

Antonio Reyes, 29 of North Carolina, was charged with the felony offense of burglary, and the misdemeanor offenses of trespassing and destruction of property.

In the late evening hours on Saturday, June 29, 2024, deputies responded to a trespassing complaint on Summerlee Road.

Before deputies arrived, they received notification that the subject had kicked in the back door of a home, trying to instigate a fight with the family of the residence, which was later determined to be the subject’s ex-girlfriend.

Deputies arrived and did find evidence of forced entry, as well as several holes punched into the walls of the residence.
