Silver Lake community fundraiser supports 9-year-old with brain tumor

SILVER LAKE (KSNT) – The Silver Lake community joined together for a fundraiser on Sunday all for a member of their community.

9-year-old Taygen has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor. To help with expenses during her fight, family and community members hosted “Trails for Taygen”.

All of the money that was raised went towards travel expenses and meals for Taygen and her family during her fight.

“We started off with the trail ride, we just sent them off and then have the silent auction down at the Blacksmith from 5-9,” event host Kacie Fitzgerald said. “We are gonna have some dinner and a bunch of goodies.”

The event ended with a silent auction following the 52-mile ATV ride.
