The family of Camesha Johnson held a balloon release in her memory on Sunday.

Johnson was 37 years old when she was killed.

She drove a school bus in Clayton County.

On July 6, 2023, she had just dropped some students off at summer school and was in the parking lot of a BP gas station on Highway 85 and Thomas Road in Riverdale when a bullet flew through her car, went through her shoulder, and hit her heart.

“I miss her so much and I want the world to know I just need help in finding who did this because this is a year,” her mother, Virginia Hunter, said.

The family tells Channel 2′s Courtney Francisco they think whoever killed her knew her.

Francisco will have information about a cash reward being offered to catch her killer on WSB Tonight at 11p.m.
