WEST BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A raffle has been created to help support the family of a pregnant woman killed during a storm on May 13, 2024.

Kristin Browning, 31, was killed after a tree fell on her home during the severe weather that hit last month. State officials said she was nine months pregnant, and the fetus did not survive. The sheriff’s office said an adult male and a five-year-old were also in the trailer and were taken to a local hospital.

“Justin is a former employee of CES so we wanted to do something for him in hopes of raising money for him and his daughter. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Justin,” said Kim Frazee with Compliance EnviroSystems, LLC.

The raffle was supposed to start on July 1 but was pushed back to Friday, July 12. Frazee said they hope to raise as much as possible for the family.

The following items are included in the raffle:

• Purple and Gold double stand burner from Goodwood Hardware

• A five-gallon Jambalaya pot and burner from Goodwood Hardware

• Purple and Gold Cajun classic enamel pot six-quart from Goodwood Hardware

Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased through Venmo (@kfrazee79) or Cashapp ($KimFrazee). Frazee said checks can be made out directly to “Justin Browning.”

Tickets can be purchased with cash at the company’s office located at 1401 Seabord Drive in Baton Rouge. Frazee said Browning and his daughter will do the ticket drawing at their office.
