As the summer heats up, those seeking a romantic meal under the open sky, can choose from three locations in Delaware named among the top 150 romantic dining spots in the country, according to a recent survey.

Relationship advice website DatingAdvice.com surveyed 3,000 couples to identify the 150 most romantic locations for alfresco dining 2024. Although Delaware did not make the top 10, here are the rankings of the three locations from the Diamond State on their list:

#41 Historic Lewes

Located where the Delaware Bay and the Atlantic Ocean meet, Lewes is a pedestrian-friendly destination ideal for a leisurely and romantic meal. The growing town’s breezy air, options for cuisines and ambiance of its restaurants offer couples a great setting for intimate dining experiences.

#84 Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk

According to survey responses, the stunning ocean views and the variety of dining options make the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk the ideal setting for a romantic sunset dinner for beach lovers.

#121 Wilmington Riverfront

Perfect for a romantic stroll and dinner, the city’s renovated riverfront area offers picturesque views of the Christina River, a long boardwalk and a selection of chic restaurants that cater to both casual and upscale outdoor dining choices.

The top 5 locations based on the survey results are:

#1 Savannah, Georgia

Claiming the number one position is the Historic District in Savannah. Lined with ancient oaks and Spanish moss, the city’s historic streets boast cozy cafes and upscale bistros. Couples can savor traditional Southern dishes or international cuisine in delightful courtyards and sidewalk settings.

#2 The French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana

Sidewalk cafes and courtyard restaurants help the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana take second place. Couples can savor authentic Creole and Cajun dishes while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere and historic surroundings when dining outdoors.

#3 The West Village, New York City, New York
