Boy Scouts holds honors dinner in Toledo; awards presented to Barth, Pocock


TOLEDO – The Boy Scouts of America Erie Shores Council honored the many contributions of its volunteers at the 98th annual Scouter Recognition Dinner.

Scouts, leaders and volunteers from all over Northwest Ohio gathered at the Pinnacle in Maumee for fellowship, dinner and awards on June 6.

Two lifetime awards given to Pocock, Barth

The council presented two Lifetime Achievement awards to Sandusky County and Ottawa County residents.

The Gregory A. Hendel Lifetime Service Award was presented to Linda Pocock at the annual Boy Scouts of America dinner.

The Gregory A. Hendel Lifetime Service Award was presented to Linda Pocock of Bellevue. The award honors those who have served the community through exemplary lifelong volunteer service and gave direct support of community activities and served in leadership roles in the business community.

The John C. Haar Lifetime Service Award was presented to David Barth of Port Clinton.
