Some strong storms possible Sunday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Some strong storms are possible Sunday. We have a marginal risk (1/5) for areas along I-40 and to the north.

The main threats with these storms will be heavy rain, gusty winds, and lightning.

Storms will fire up north of I-40 after 2 a.m. and last through dawn.

FORECAST: Middle Tennessee & Southern Kentucky Weather

Then, another round of storms develops after 2 p.m. south of I-40 and moves out by dinner time.

These storms will be caused by a cool front that will bring in cooler, less humid air for Monday. Don’t get too used to it, as we heat right back up on Tuesday.
