Suspect on U.S. Marshals Most Wanted list arrested by Mobile Police

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) – Ladarrius Fantroy, a fugitive on the U.S. Marshals Most Wanted list, has been arrested by the Mobile Police Department after a year on the run.

Fantroy was wanted in connection to a 2023 double homicide in Conecuh County. In June of last year, 10-year-old “JoeJoe” Rankin and his mother’s boyfriend; Jatonio Williams were shot and killed in front of their home in Evergreen, Alabama.

According to police, Fantroy fled the scene.

This January, law enforcement was close on Fantroy’s heels after he was involved in a two-vehicle wreck near the Belleville community. He fled the scene of the accident. That night, a massive manhunt was mobilized to find him – but Fantroy evaded capture.

Last night, Mobile Police captured Fantroy and booked him in Metro Jail just after midnight.

We’ve reached out to the Mobile Police Department for more information.
