Montgomery man dies days after being shot on Woodley Road


A Montgomery man has died, days after being shot.

Holloway Vason, 67, died in a Montgomery hospital on Thursday, said Capt. Raymond Carson, a spokesman for the Montgomery Police Department. The case is being investigated as a homicide, he said.

At about 7:15 p.m. June 24, police and fire medics were called to the 3400 block of Woodley Road. Vason had received a life-threatening injury and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, Carson said.

The circumstances of the case remain under investigation, and no other information was immediately released. Police ask people with knowledge of the case to call CrimeStoppers at 334-215-STOP, the Secret Witness Line at 334-625-4000, or MPD at 334-625-2831.
