Jun. 27—BOWMAN’S ADDITION — A fire that broke out on the roof of a Shadoe Hollow Road home Wednesday night caused about $10,000 damage, the Maryland Office of the State Fire Marshal said.

Firefighters were called to the single-story home, occupied by Tyler Bennet and Gwyneth Nixon, about 8 p.m. and had the fire under control in about 20 minutes, investigators said.

Cause of the blaze remains under investigation. There were no reported injuries.

The family is being assisted by the American Red Cross.
