Close to 16k residents in central Pennsylvania without power


(WHTM) — Thousands of central Pennsylvania residents are currently without power and may be without it for some time.

According to PPL’s outage map, there are under 16,000 residents in the area that are currently without power.

Below is a list of the counties and the number of affected customers:

  • Cumberland County – 2,206 residents affected

  • Dauphin County – 8,729 residents affected

  • Juniata County – 1,359 residents affected

  • Lancaster County – 101 customers affected

  • Perry County – 3,895 customers affected

  • York County – 192 customers affected

Power may not be restored in some communities until as late as 3:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

According to FirstEnergy’s outage reports, there are almost 2,000 customers in Dillsburg that are without power and that is estimated to be restored at least 8:30 p.m. Almost 2,000 customers in Lebanon County are also experiencing outages.
