Sewer work will close lane on South Ocean this week

Lanes will be closed for much of the day Monday through Wednesday on South Ocean Boulevard as crews conduct sewer maintenance, town officials said.

On the stretch of the road from 2100 S. Ocean Blvd. (Ibis Isle) to 300 S. Ocean (the intersection with Royal Palm Way), workers from the town’s Water Resources Department will be conducting sanitary sewer force main maintenance at 20 locations.

The one-hour closures will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

The work will reduce South Ocean to one lane in the affected areas, so flaggers will be guiding traffic as the maintenance is performed. Motorists are asked to be cautious when traveling through the area and stay alert for flaggers and Water Resources workers.

For more information, send an email to Jeff Coleman, Water Resources manager, at jcoleman@townofpalmbeach.com, or call 561-227-7018.
