What did Donald Sutherland do in Fresno in the 90s?


FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The Hollywood icon Donald Sutherland passed away at the age of 88 on Monday, according to his son Kiefer Sutherland on Thursday.

According to Nexstar and AP, Sutherland was originally from Canada and rose to fame with a string of well-received roles in movies such as “M*A*S*H” and “Klute.” He also worked in “The Hunger Games.”

The Hollywood icon also had ties with the Central Valley. In the 90s, Sutherland was in the valley for the movie “The Puppet Masters”, which was released in 1994.

Sutherland shot scenes of the science fiction film in the City of Fresno and Fresno County.

Officials say Sutherland is survived by his five children and his wife Francine Racette, according to Variety.
