Frostburg man allegedly fires gun at another person

Jun. 20—FROSTBURG — A Frostburg man was arrested Thursday morning after he allegedly shot a gun toward another person.

Frostburg Police said Sean Michael Everhart, 50, was charged with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Police said they were called to an undisclosed East Main Street location just after 6 a.m.

“The victim reported that Everhart was in his backyard, pointed a firearm at the victim and discharged the firearm toward the victim,” police said in a statement. “Officers found Everhart playing loud music, dancing and speaking in erratic statements.”

Police reportedly recovered spent shell casings and also served a search warrant at Everhart’s home, where several firearms were seized.

Everhart was being held Thursday afternoon at the Allegany County Detention Center. He had not had a bond hearing.
