Baby ejected after car crash in Draper, teens hospitalized

DRAPER, Utah (ABC4) — A child — who officials estimated was about five months old — was ejected from a vehicle after a car crash in Draper on Monday afternoon.

Sgt. Crane with the Draper Police Department said the crash happened after 2 p.m. on June 17, around 12300 South and 265 West. An SUV and a smaller car reportedly went through the intersection at the same time.

Crane said the crash caused the car to spin out and crash into a semi-truck that was waiting at the intersection.

According to officials, the child was previously in serious condition but is now stable. The drivers of the cars received minor injuries, and teenagers in the SUV were taken to the hospital by a family member.

Critical Accident Response is investigating the scene and what caused the five-month-old child to get ejected from the car.
