General Motors is recalling more than 13,000 Chevrolet Corvettes due to an issue with the seatbelts, according to a notification from the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration.

General Motors is recalling 13,464 2024-2025 Corvette vehicles. The front seat belt retractors may lock in a stowed position and become inaccessible to occupants.

Dealers will replace the driver and/or passenger seat belt retractors, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on July 22. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM’s number for this recall is N242441390.

Kia is recalling 1,075 2024 Kia Sportage vehicles. The circuit board in the motor-driven power steering assembly may short circuit, resulting in a loss of power steering assist.

Dealers will replace the motor-driven power steering electric power pack, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on Aug. 6. Owners may contact Kia customer service at 1-800-333-4542. Kia’s number for this recall is SC319.
