CrowdStrike and KKR stock jumped Friday night, with GoDaddy also rising. Robert Half and Comerica edged lower after hours, while Illumina was not active.

These are part of the big quarterly rebalances in the S&P indexes.

Dell Technologies (DLTR) and Palantir Technologies (PLTR), two profitable big caps seen as possible S&P 500 picks, fell slightly Friday night as they were passed over again.

Meanwhile, Illumina will replace GoDaddy in the S&P MidCap 400. Robert Half and Comerica will replace Anywhere Real Estate (HOUS) and Adtran Holdings (ADTN) in the S&P SmallCap 600.

Other S&P Index Moves

Energy plays Cactus and Tidewater rose solidly Friday night on joining the S&P SmallCap 600.

Stocks typically get a bounce on the news that they’ll be added to the S&P 500. Mutual funds and ETF that track the index have to buy up shares of incoming components.
