Kyle Richards, 55, uses these 24K gold eye patches (40% off) to ‘lift and firm’

A busy schedule often means less sleep — and dark circles and puffy eyes. That’s probably why Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards has been seen wearing under-eye patches while filming over the last several seasons. The busy mom of four, actress, producer and center of last season’s RHOBH drama tends to use Peter Thomas Roth’s 24K Gold Pure Luxury Lift & Firm Hydra-Gel Eye Patches. And right now, if you think your under eyes could use a little lifting, you’re in luck, because the patches are currently 40% off at Amazon.

Why is this a good deal? 💰

The 24K Gold Pure Luxury Lift & Firm Hydra-Gel Eye Patches regularly cost $75 a pack, but at 40% off, they’re just $45. One container includes 60 patches (or 30 treatments), which nets out to a $1.50 per use. These patches come from a highly regarded brand and target puffiness, wrinkles and crows feet. Less than $2 for a little slice of R&R and some under-eye revival sounds like a steal.

Why do I need these? 🤔

Richards, 55, first shared her love for the popular Peter Thomas Roth eye patches after she was seen wearing them on a RHOBH cast trip to Provence, France during season 9. So many fans reached out to ask what they were, the star shared in an Instagram story that the patches help with “puffiness and lines” and reiterated that it wasn’t a paid post or ad.

But if even if you’re not Real Housewives drama-level exhausted, they could help your eyes too. Peter Thomas Roth has a variety of Hydra-Gel Eye Patches for hydrating, brightening and depuffing, but the 24K Gold Pure Luxury Lift & Firm Hydra-Gels are a stand-out.

They contain real 24K and colloidal gold and, according to the brand’s website, they can help “firm, lift, brighten and calm the appearance of skin while providing an opulent glow.” In addition to gold, the patches contain caffeine, a popular ingredient for depuffing eyes fast, and hydrolyzed collagen to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

In addition to the luxe ingredients, the packaging is pretty nice. The under-eye patches come in a container with a screw-on lid to seal them in and keep them moist. They also come with a little spatula you can store inside to gently lift them out. The spatula makes it easy to separate the delicate gels from one another, but also keeps your fingers from touching and contaminating each one (not to mention, it keeps your nails from accidentally ripping them).

Simply put them under your eyes for 10 to 15 minutes before applying your skin care and makeup. They have an asymmetrical crescent shape (one side is bigger than the other), and you can wear them a couple of ways: Put the thicker part of the patch under your eyes to target dark circles and bags or flip them around to better target crow’s feet.

I personally have used a range of the Peter Thomas Roth Hydra-Gel Eye Patches, and the 24K gold ones are my favorite. They make the skin under my eyes look noticeably less tired, and I swear I can feel them working in the 10 minutes I wear them. They also just feel like a nice little treat to wear in the morning while I make my coffee or walk my dog. One tip: Keep them in the fridge for an extra cool and soothing feel (and a little extra de-puffing action). I’m stocking up while they’re on sale, and even buying a few to give as gifts this month.

What reviewers say 💬

It’s not just Kyle Richards (and I) that adores these under-eye patches. More than 1,000 Amazon shoppers give the 24K Gold Pure Luxury Lift & Firm Hydra-Gels a perfect, five-star rating.

Pros 👍

“I use these almost every morning before work,” said one loyal fan. “I’ve had puffiness and dark circles under my eyes all my life, no matter how much sleep I get. I put these on before my drive to work and my eyes look great by the time I arrive. Big difference in the before and after. Highly recommend!”

“Although a bit pricey, they are definitely worth it,” added another happy shopper. “When I wake up with puffy eyes, these cooling pads take the puff away and feel so good. I leave them on way longer than directed because they feel so nice and refreshing.”

“My eyes are brighter, hydrated, depuffed, and firmer!” shared a five-star fan. “Exactly as described in the product description! I’ve had under-eye filler done recently and these provided more of a difference for me than the filler did! I asked my boyfriend if he saw a difference in my eyes after taking off the patches and he said he could tell they looked better. Definitely going to continue to use to see how the results progress.”

Cons 👎

While a lot of reviewers saw results and liked the feeling of the under-eye pads, some did not like the shape of them.

“Good product, effective, but odd shape,” said one four-star reviewer. “I have almond-shaped eyes and so no matter how I place them (pointy side in or out) they don’t fit properly. The curve is too sharp for my long eyes. That being said, a lot of eye masks are shaped like this for some silly reason.”

“The eye patches deliver on reducing puffiness and fine line reduction, but getting them properly placed is a bit of a chore,” added another. “The curvature doesn’t fit my under eyes and I don’t have large eyes. … If these weren’t as ‘scooped’ in shape and followed the natural shape of the under eye, it would be a five-star review.”

If you’re looking for something a little extra hydrating, Peter Thomas Roth’s second most-popular eye patches (according to Amazon reviewers) are the brand’s Cucumber De-Tox Hydra-Gel Eye Patches — and they’re 22% off.

These under-eye patches contain cucumber extract to hydrate and depuff skin, as well as aloe and chamomile to soothe it.

“So cooling and refreshing,” said one fan. “I have sensitive skin that typically gets irritated with new products like this, but these are extremely calming, cooling and easy on my skin!”
