There are a lot of different iPads on the market right now. We’re up to the tenth generation, for Pete’s sake! Well, if there’s one good thing to say about all these different evolutions of tablets, it’s this: Apple has really distilled it down to what makes a tablet great. The iPad 10th Gen is a phenomenal tablet that’s ideal for both productivity and entertainment, and it’s currently marked down by a significant margin at Amazon.

Why is this a good deal? 💰

Well, that’s an easy question — it’s the all-time lowest price we’ve ever seen for this model. Only the blue and silver colors are on sale for this price (which is a shame; the yellow looks great) but if you’ve been waiting to jump on a deal, this is worth it.

Why do I need this? 🤔

Let’s start by talking about the specs. This iPad comes with 64GB of storage. It’s not a ton, and if you like to take a lot of pictures you might want to invest in cloud storage. That said, it’s still plenty of room for apps. It also comes with Wi-Fi connectivity, so you can just hook up to your local network for internet access.

You can use the Apple Pencil and a compatible keyboard to basically replace your laptop. Draw, type and tackle work projects with ease. You can use Touch ID for added security, and even use it to authorize payments.

If you need more storage, you can choose the 265GB version instead, but that costs quite a bit more than this variant. All models come with the A14 Bionic chip, but rather than bore you with details, we’ll just say this: it makes an already-fast tablet even snappier.

Cons 👎

One of the major gripes customers had was that it didn’t work with the 2nd Gen Apple Pencil. “This iPad does all that my Samsung tab did and more. My only complaint is that you have to purchase a separate pencil. But for the price compared to my Galaxy Tab, I didn’t mind!”

Another shopper echoed the sentiment. “What is ridiculous is the lack of provision for the Gen 1 Apple Pencil. One of the big features of this iPad is support for a pencil. You would think they’d provide a charging port for the pencil (which uses Apple’s proprietary plug/socket arrangement). But no. Nothing.”
