Police evacuate parking garages at Easton after shots fired


COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Police are investigating after shots were fired at Easton Town Center on Saturday night.

Shots were fired at Easton Town Center in the West Parking Garage around 8:49 p.m. Nobody was injured, according to the Columbus Division of Police.

Five in custody after stolen Kia strikes police cruiser

Columbus police said the incident started as an altercation between two groups that escalated and they have two persons of interest in custody for questioning.

Law enforcement officials evacuated the mall’s parking garages and increased their presence in the area after the incident. Officers working at Easton were the first to hear shots and responded in minutes.

Police have not yet released any further information.
