A look at some of Paradise Valley’s top home and land sales in 2024

Here’s a look at some of the priciest homes to sell in Paradise Valley so far this year — and a record-setting piece of residential land in the posh town.

The houses range from a Spanish revival-style mansion with views of Mummy Mountain to a home in the coveted enclave Cameldale Estates.

Paradise Valley has the highest Arizona median home price at $2.62 million, according to the Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service. The area’s median price, however, dropped 13% during the 12 months ending March 31.

The highest-priced Paradise Valley home to sell so far in 2024 is a 10,676-square-foot house that went for $14 million in early April. The Spanish revival home located on 3.5 acres has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, two kitchens and an antique stone fireplace surrounding the living room, kitchen and primary suite.

Cheryl Anderson of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty represented the buyer. Andrew Beardsley of Silverleaf Realty had the listing.

An 8,507-square-foot new home with views of Mummy and Camelback mountains sold for $13.3 million in mid-April. The house comes with six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, two kitchens, two primary suites, a media room and an office.

Russ Lyon agents Joe Bushong and Grant Almquist had the listing.

Another Paradise Valley house with many glass walls and a guest home sold for almost $12.5 million in late March. The 7,336-square-foot house with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms has views of Camelback Mountain from most rooms, an office, a theater and a wellness room.

Russ Lyon agent Virginia Gee worked with the seller.

On prestigious Casa Blanca Drive in the Cameldale area, a 6,691-square-foot home sold for $11 million in early March. The modern house has four bedrooms and 4 ½ bathrooms, walls of glass, a negative-edge pool and outdoor fire feature.

Russ Lyon’s Cionne McCarthy worked with the buyer.

And a 27-acre vacant residential parcel in the heart of Paradise Valley sold for $42 million in late April.

The prime land was bought by former Dial Corp. CEO John Teets Jr. and his wife, Nancy, for $6 million 30 years ago to preserve their home’s mountain views. The Teets family sold the property to the new owner, a Delaware LLC called PV27.

Joan Levinson of Realty ONE Group had the listing.
