Multiple people were injured, including children, after a car drove through a building Saturday afternoon, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said.

The incident occurred around 3 p.m. at the Swan Creek Boat Club in Berlin Township, the sheriff’s office said. A vehicle drove through a building where a children’s birthday party was being held, injuring multiple children and adults, the sheriff’s office said.

The victims were being treated in several area hospitals, the sheriff’s office said.

Police are conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident. No further details were available.
