AT&T has pledged an additional $3 billion by 2030 to help connect Texans across the state to the internet, according to a news release from the company.
This new pledge brings the total company’s investment into the state to $5 billion since 2021 with the impact of:

$7.9 million going to Texas digital divide causes from 2021-2023.

Opening 8 AT&T Connected Learning Centers in Texas to provide access to high-speed internet, computers and education resources.

12,000 computers being distributed more to students and their families across Texas.

Hosting more than 210 digital literacy workshops in Texas to help parents and families build skills and confidence using technology.

Nearly $7.6 billion invested into AT&T’s Texas wireless and wireline network infrastructure from 2020-2022.
In the release, the company stated that its investments come at a time when millions of Americans still lack internet access, which hinders their economic opportunities.
