Dublin and Derry meet in league decider; Ireland face Italy at the RDS



Here’s the latest from the day’s sporting action…

GAA

It’s a repeat of last year’s Division 2 final in the Allianz National Football League Division 1 decider today.

Dublin were successful on that occasion, but Derry have a chance to get revenge at Croke Park this afternoon.

The 4pm throw-in is proceeded by this year’s Division 2 final between Donegal and Armagh, which got underway at 1.45pm.

There are also three finals in the National Hurling League this afternoon.

Carlow and Laois face off in the 2A final from 3pm, while the 3A final between Mayo and Sligo and the 3B final between Fermanagh and Warwickshire both get underway at 2pm.

Rugby

Ireland are looking to pick up their first win of this year’s Women’s Six Nations championship today.

After a good performance against France last time out, they are looking to get points on the board against Italy.

The game at the RDS gets underway at 3pm.

Soccer

There are just two fixtures in the Premier League today.

First up, Liverpool welcome Brighton to Anfield from 2pm, followed by the Manchester derby which sees United travel to the Etihad to face City from 4.30pm.

Celtic can return to the top of the Scottish Premiership table this afternoon.

They lead 2-0 away to Livingston, with just over 80 minutes gone.

Katie McCabe is looking to win the third Women’s League Cup of her career this afternoon.

Her Arsenal team face rivals Chelsea in the final with kick-off at Molineux is at 3pm.
