Ireland gear up for Six Nations decider; Big day of GAA action

All eyes will be on the Aviva Stadium later as Ireland hope to win back-to-back Six Nations titles for the first time since 2015.

Andy Farrell’s side take on Scotland, where a draw will be enough to secure the Championship.

Kick-off is at 4.45pm.

Super Saturday is underway in Cardiff where Wales trail Italy by 11-0 heading for half-time.

England and France could still win the title if Ireland lose to the Scots.

Le Crunch rounds off the day’s action from 8pm in Lyon.

It’s another full day’s action in the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division this afternoon.

Bohemians are getting the ball rolling at home to Athlone Town with that game just underway.

Shamrock Rovers will look to bounce back from an opening day defeat when they host Wexford Youths at 4p,.

At 5pm, Cork City travel to Galway,

At the same time, Treaty United entertain DLR Waves.

And it’s a Dublin derby as Peamount are at home to Shelbourne.

After their midweek collapse at Bournemouth, Luton Town are entertaining fellow strugglers Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

They’ve just kicked off at Kenilworth Road and at Turf Moor where Burnley are at home to Brentford.

There’s a London derby this evening as Tottenham go to Fulham for a 5.30pm start.

Haji Wright was the hero for Coventry as they booked their spot in the semi finals of the FA Cup this afternoon.

The Sky Blues scored twice in the final six minutes to defeat Wolves 3-2 at Molineux.

Later, defending champions Manchester City are at home to Newcastle.

Monaghan’s near decade-long spell in Division 1 of the Allianz Football League could end this evening.

They take on Tyrone at 7.30pm in Omagh. Dublin will edge closer to the Division 1 final if they collect a win from Galway.

They meet in Salthill at 3.15pm.

Armagh can secure passage to Division 1 with a game to spare if they defeat Cavan this afternoon. A win for Raymond Galligan’s men would put them level on points with the Orchard County.

Throw-in at the Athletic Grounds is at 5pm.

At the same time, Donegal can add to Kildare’s woes when they meet in Carlow.

Limerick have kept up their unbeaten run in Division 1B of the Allianz Hurling League.

Despite going down to 14 men, John Kiely’s charges battled back to rescue a 0-17 to 0-17 with Galway at Pearse Stadium.

That result means the All-Ireland champions move into the semi-finals.

Tipperary need a win away to Antrim to secure a knock-out spot.
