Vehicle shot during drive-by shooting in Fresno, police say


FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A vehicle was struck by gunfire after a pedestrian was attempting to shoot at another vehicle in Fresno, the Fresno Police Department said.

Just before 7 p.m., officers say they responded to the area of Holt and Fairmont Avenues regarding a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers say they located expended cartridges in the street and begin canvassing the area for victims and witnesses. They determined a pedestrian was shooting at a vehicle that was passing by the location.

According to police, an unrelated vehicle was truck by gunfire. The intended victim was not located.

The investigation is ongoing and police say no suspects or other victims were located as of Friday night.
