Arlington police seek leads in shooting that killed unidentified man in neighborhood


Police are investigating a shooting that killed an unidentified man in east Arlington on Wednesday night, officials said.

Officers responded to the 2400 block of Hollandale Circle shortly after 10:15 p.m. when a caller reported hearing gunshots and seeing a man on the ground, police said. The shooting victim was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Police said it’s not clear why the man was at the location and he wasn’t known at the address where he was found, which is a residential neighborhood near Berry Elementary School. Detectives are trying to find surveillance video from the area and witnesses who may have seen the shooting.

No arrests have been made.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will publicly identify the victim pending notification of next-of-kin.
