The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a homicide in east Charlotte Friday morning.
Just before 6 a.m., police responded to a home on Turquoise Drive near Reedy Creek Park. The initial call was for a gunshot wound, according to MEDIC.
At the scene, police said they found one person deceased.
Police told Channel 9 that the investigation into this incident is active and ongoing.
