A man found out that he had won a $1 million lottery prize in the middle of a work conference call and, understandably, struggled to keep his cool, Idaho Lottery said in a news release on Thursday.

Andrew Nachman of McCall told the Idaho Lottery that he had just returned from a vacation and was sitting down for a work call when he noticed a lottery ticket lying on his desk.

With three minutes to go before the call began, Nachman said he decided to check it.

“When it said it was the million-dollar winner, I was convinced I had entered the number wrong,” he told lottery officials.

Nachman said he rushed downstairs and handed the ticket to his wife to confirm if they had won.

While he commenced his work video call, she called the lottery office to check.

According to the news release, Nachman said his wife heightened the suspense.

“Right in the middle of my video conference call, she sends me a text that said, ‘I’m sorry to inform you,’ and then there was a long pause between texts… ‘but it is confirmed!’,” he said.

Nachman added: “It was really hard to hide my excitement on the call.”

The million-dollar winner purchased his ticket from a Maverik gas station in McCall.

He told lottery officials he plans to spend the money on his children’s college education.
