Visalia printing facility to cease operations in March, news will continue

The Gannett-owned printing and packaging facility in Visalia, which publishes the Visalia Times-Delta, Tulare Advance Register, Ventura County Star, Salinas Californian and others, will move printing to another California site this spring.

Some of the publications currently printed at the Visalia facility will shift to Fremont, a Hearst Newspapers facility. The news and advertising teams will remain in Visalia and continue to serve the community.

Production employees involved with printing and packaging in Visalia will be impacted by the transition as operations cease.

“As our business becomes increasingly digital and subscription-focused, newspaper printing partnerships have become standard,” a Gannett spokesperson said. “We are making strategic decisions to ensure the future of local journalism and continue our service to the community.”

The last day of printing in Visalia is March 10.
