Everything to know about the Starlink launch from Cape Canaveral

It’s launch day!

However, the Space Force’s 45th Weather Squadron only predicts a 40% chance of “go for launch” weather — citing liftoff winds, upper-level wind shear and rough waves interfering with the SpaceX Falcon 9’s first-stage booster landing atop a drone ship.

SpaceX is targeting a window from 11 p.m. EST overnight to 3:31 a.m. Monday to launch the Starlink 6-34 mission from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, a Federal Aviation Administration navigational warning shows.

The Falcon 9 will deploy a batch of Starlink internet satellites, which are packed inside the nose cone atop the 230-foot rocket.

No local sonic booms are expected. After soaring skyward along a southeastern trajectory, the booster will target landing aboard a drone ship out at sea 8½ minutes after liftoff.
